For my Krafty Design I used the Fancy Fireworks stencil with glitter paste overtop of the clouds (from the  Krafty Scenery stencil).  The little animals were coloured with Copics and accented with stickles and glossy accents, while the sentiment was heat embossed with white.

Happy Tuesday - June Scrappy Challenge

June Skrappy Challenge! Tuesday June 7 @ 7 am EST

    Good morning krafty friends!

It's June, and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

 The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

Here's some fabulous inspiration from our Design Team this month!

Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!

Today's challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is anything but a card.  I chose to make a wine bottle tag using, the amazing set Friends to the Finish. Friends to the Finish! – Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

The image was coloured using copics and silver stickles were used to highlight her jewels.  A little splatter of glimmer brush, glossy accents for the wine glass and the sentiment was stamped in Mermaid Melody ink.  Using various ribbons and trims from my stash I decorated the tag and it is ready to go onto a bottle as a gift tag.

 Happy Saturday everyone

Today's challenge from Kraftin Kimmie is to add words.  We would love you to play along using one of Kimmie's amazing stamp sets. 

For this card I  used the stamp set "Squishy Hugs"  Squishy Hugs! – Kraftin Kimmie Stamps  What better than to give your best friend than a squishy hug.  The image was coloured with copic markers and added to a background of Balmy Blue, Bubbly Blue and Soft Sage inks.  The background was then dry embossed to give it a different texture.  The sentiment was cut out 5 times and glued together to give it some dimension.  

As an added touch the envelope flap was covered using a 2 inch strip of matching paper.  This idea is from another Design Team member, Jennifer Kelly,

Life is busy!!  I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather.  It is wonderful to be able to be outside in the sunshine but it is great to be able to stay indoors and craft when the weather is too hot.

This month  I have some awesome news.  I was asked to be a Guest Designer at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps for the month of June.  This is a real honour for me.  The Design Team at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is amazing and always coming up with such great ideas and designs.  Every month there is a new release.

The photo above is my design using the June Stamp of the Month - You're a Hoot!!  Coloured with Copic Markers and some paper and trim from my stash, I used Kimmie's chipboard stars and covered them in stickles to complete the card.

 Yes   this is a Christmas card.  I am following along with the challenges at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps  #kraftinkimmiestamps, and one of the challenges for this week was to use gold.

The paper gave me a vintage feel and because it was somewhat busy, I thought all that it needed was to highlight the sentiment which I embossed with gold and used some gems in my stash.  I used the set "HolidayWishes" which has other great sentiments on it as well.  

By following along with these challenges I am trying to get one Christmas card done per week and who knows?  Maybe I will have all of my cards well completed and ready to mail by the beginning of December.  

Find some time to yourself to get crafty this week. It is good for your soul.  

What is new with you?

 Hello everyone!  

Yes, what is new with you.  I have really let this blog slide.  So much has happened in the last few years.  So much has happened this past year.

I have retired and my husband and I have 'gotten away from it all'.  We moved from Courtice to a wonderful place just outside of Belleville.  I had a knee replacement in June 2021, yes in the middle of COVID.  

I have also had more time to indulge my love of craftiness.  I am fortunate to have some amazingly crafty friends who are so supportive in this indulgence too.  Our group is "the Enablers"  Yup, we help each other along with our crafty habits.  Actually we are all very supportive of each other-that is what crafters are .  

I enjoy scrapbooking and have made many layouts, however, I have recently re-discovered the joy in cardmaking.  I love using incredible stamps and inks and glittery, shiny things and making cards.  I do get joy in mailing my creations to friends and family.  (Not to say that Canada Post doesn't mind either)

So I am going to try to share pictures of past and recent creations to hopefully inspire you.  This is a work in progress so please let me know if you have suggestions for any of my posts or cards, etc

Hello everyone....  I have most certainly been slack in posting .  I am going to have to fix this
