Christmas Cards -- Never too Early

Christmas cards.  For all of the cardmakers out there, there is always a last minute rush to get these done, isn't there.  Even though I try, I sometimes end up getting behind on my card making as well.

I find that doing the challenges at Kraftin Kimmie  on the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Facebook Friends page, helps me to get my cards done and gives me inspiration to do so.

I made some cards the last few days I would like to share.

The first card was made for a "lights" challenge. I used the image from Furry Holiday Wishes, coloured with Copics and accented with Stickles, on glitter paper and Christmas Light Bulb paper.

This card was for a Shaped Card Challenge.  Another Adorable image coloured with Copics and decorated with gems

The last card is a shaker card and an easel card.  I can just hear the little boy singing along with his dog and cat

These beautiful stamps make such beautiful cards

Check them out and get started with some Christmas cards.

Til next time,

Happy Creating

Halloween is coming!

Halloween is coming up soon and I wanted to show you a couple of the cards that I made that I will be sending out to friends.

The first card was a challenge at  #kraftinkimmiestamps to use stencils.  Do you know that you can use a stencil to emboss with?  Check your machine for the specific directions/sandwich and get double the usage out of your stencils.

The purple cardstock was embossed using the stencil, Bats and Moons, from Kraftin Kimmie.  The little image coloured up quickly and when a sentiment was added to the centre part and the chipboard bat was glittered with stickles the card came together pretty easily.

The envelope flap was stencilled with Purple Petunia Ink and the same stencil used for the embossing.

The second card was another challenge and it was to use glitter.  The glitter paper background set off the image of the little girl.

I had fun colouring the girl with copics and then putting stickles on these bats too.

I hope you liked looking at these cards and that they will inspire you to do some Halloween cards

Happy Crafting,

Heather

It is time for coffee!!

I made a cute Halloween themed card featuring..coffee

The chipboard, sentiment and images are from Kraftin Kimmie. I used copper embossing powder and some dry embossing to fancy things up.

A simple card to make and send to your friends.

And, don't we all know a few people who that sentiment fits perfectly.

Happy Crafting

A Happy Fall Birthday!

I made a special fall birthday card using, Autumn Pumpkins, from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, *NEW Autumn Pumpkins! – Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

Using a cozy Fall paper,( Four Seasons—Autumn Paper Packet (X8036B) | Close To My Heart ) the  image was coloured with copics, and decorated with a few metal style embellishments for a perfect fall card that will easily fit in the mailbox.

A simple, yet beautiful fall birthday card for someone special.
Stay crafty, there is more to follow

HAPPY THANKSGIVING - HAPPY FALL

Our family has certainly had it's share of sorrow this year, but this is a time to reflect on the goodness in our lives.

I created this card using the Falling Leaves stencil and foiling technique with a bronze/copper foil.  The images from Autumn Pumpkins were stamped onto Neenah Kraft paper and coloured with pencils.  Since the card was made with only cardstock, I decorated the envelope with another of the stamp set images and coloured it with simple markers.

I hope that you like it.

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and a Happy Fall.

Keep on crafting.

Happy Birthday!!

Everyone has a birthday and I hope that you celebrate it in whatever way you do.  Yesterday I created a card for a friend's business.  She is celebrating 13 years in the crafting industry in Canada!  Happy Birthday to Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  #kraftinkimmie   Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

This adorable hippo image is from "Hip Hippo Ray".   To make it special I made a fancy fold card - this one is like a card in a card.  Coloured up with copic markers and accented with stickles it is bright and glittery.  I also put the fussy cut image on a wobble because who can see the little hippo doing a birthday dance.

Until next time-stay crafty and stay safe

World Cardmaking Day

Well, now it is October and the summer has literally flown by.

Today is October 1st and it is also world cardmaking day.

I am happy to share the card that I made that celebrates Halloween using amazing stamps and products from a Canadian Company, Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

I used the stamp sets, "I want Candy", "Little Monsters" and "Monster Sentiments", and coloured with Copic markers.  Inked a background with Kraftin Kimmie Hybrid Inks and then stenciled over the background with the spiderweb stencil and Wicked Black Ink.
I am quite happy with the finished box card and I hope that the person I send it to will be as well

Happy World Cardmaking Day everyone
